Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Products...all of 'em!!

I love the Lemon Verbena Room Spray, the Basil All-Purpose Cleaner that I use in place of Mr. Clean for mopping and scrubbing the toilets...but this one here...the Honeysuckle Countertop Spray is by FAR the best stuff on this here earth...even the man-boy who probably doesn't do much by way of cleaning in his apartment (he's 21...not many 21 year old man boys do, I'd imagine) but even HE says this stuff is amazing, and we don't seem to agree on a lot of things these days, so if anything, this stuff brings families together AND cleans countertops! And that equals magic to me!! So far, I've only been able to find the Honeysuckle at Whole Foods. Wal-Mart has everything else. I bet it's online, though...

My fave of the week this week:

Ha! My new Pork on a Fork buddies on their lunch break!! They let me know of a few other yummy places I should go and eat!!! I'll be calling you!!

Yah...that's right...

It's meat! lotsa meat! and i mean this when i say it...it was soooo tender and smoky and cooked to total perfection!

...and the sauces...i taste-tested them all...each and every one of them, and my fave is the one on the far right...Crazy Hot BBQ...oh my heavens...it tasted soo good and made my nose run from the 'heat', which is just the way i like it! deee-lish!

It's in an industrial building across from the deer valley airport so look for this sign. you will not want to miss it...

I opted out of the bread. bleh. who needs bread getting in the way of a delicious pile-o-meat?!? ordered sweet potato fries (they were ok) and a side of cole slaw (i'm from TX...it's in my blood to order coleslaw...and i love it any way it's served...) and then there's that sauce...mmmm...that sauce! got a soda and paid $10.91...a titch pricey but i did not leave hungry and i thought about it for the rest of the day. i even almost went back for dinner with the kid cuz i had to make a second trip out to the lab that day...

Fave of the week 2-7-11

My new fave of the week this week happens to be sunrise. i know...weird, huh? i don't get it either, but last week when me n the kid went out to LA we caught every sunrise from way up high on the 20th floor and with the city lights still on, it just looks awesome. the kid hopped up in the windowsill and i popped off this shot real quick before he knew what i was up to. i dig the way he seems to be deep in thought...like wondering what the day will have to offer him. soon enough, the alarm will go off too early and i'll crawl back into bed and hide under the covers and grumble a bit...but for the moment...watching the sunrise...it's a beautiful thing.

Digi scrappin'...i think i love it

This started as a template I downloaded from digilovely. com and i just added my own pics and text and background paper to. I think i love it. i'll probably upload it to persnicketyprints.com when i get a few different pages ready to go...it's like $1.89 per 12x12 page. The template and paper design were free as well...less than 2 bucks for a scrapbook page makes a very happy me!

What a TRIP/FAVE of the week 1-31-11

So the hubs...he works at Bazzill and they go and do trade shows and stuff like that, so this one was at the LA Convention center. sad as I was that he didn't see my vision and agree with me that it would be a soooper fun trip for me n the kid to just take a drive out there, see the sights and have some fun. i agreed to stay home and tend to the laundry and dishes, and thought i might just get a ton of spring cleaning taken care of when to my shock and amazement and total bliss, he called and said they had inadvertently left the boxes of catalogs behind and needed them to be delivered that day! it was a friday...a really really good friday, so the kid happened to have a half day, which was perfection...and we loaded up quickly then headed out to la! yahhhh...wooooot...!! the kid got some extra credit for going to the museum of tolerance and writing a report and I got this awesome shot of the santa monica pier...plus, i got my wish...my FAVE of the week...for sure!!
